As a serial inventor and seasoned technology executive myself, I have spent my career developing novel solutions to complex problems (and of course identifying some of the problems—after all, identifying the right problem is the first step toward real invention).
I have walked a mile in your shoes (well, more like ten miles), and I enjoy working with executives, inventors, investors, and inside counsel. Moreover, I am fluent in each of these communities’ unique dialects.
I left the corporate world because I realized that the thing that motivates me most is the problem-solving process itself (which includes practicing law and inventing as subsets), rather than the process of managing large technology organizations.
I have a passion for the law, a passion for challenging problems, and a passion for developing strong client relationships through service excellence.
Patent Law is a very special field of law. Besides being a very complex legal subject, it is intimately tied to the allied processes of invention, and so generally involves complex technical issues as well.
My approach to the practice of patent law is based on years of real-world technology experience, including winning 22 United States patents of my own (and more on the way!).
I bring a uniquely broad and deep technology background to the law, having managed technology in jobs ranging from Chief Engineer of a nuclear warship, Chief Technology Officer of two different quarter-billion-dollar software companies, and CEO of a small technology services company.
You won't have to struggle to have your inventions understood at Galvin Patent Law!
